Celebrities Who Donated The Most To Jeju Air Crash Victims
On December 29, South Korea’s Muan International Airport witnessed a tragic airplane crash that claimed the lives of 179 people on board out of 181. The incident occurred when a Jeju Air passenger plane collided with a wall while attempting to land and caught on fire.
Since then, the nation has been mourning the lives lost in this deadly crash, while many public figures stepped in to help the bereaved families. Significant figures from the Korean entertainment industry have made generous donations to help the victims of this tragedy.
J-Hope
The BTS member reportedly donated ₩100 million KRW (about $68,300 USD) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help grieving families.
Hueningkai
TXT’s Hueningkai made a contribution of ₩50.0 million KRW (about $34,200 USD) to the Korean Red Cross on January 1.
Lee Youngji
On January 3, the rapper shared that she had donated a total of ₩20.0 million KRW (about $13,700 USD) to help the families of the Jeju Air Crash. She contributed ₩10.0 million KRW (about $6,830 USD) each to the Korean Red Cross Jeju Air Relief Fund and another non-profit organization called Warm One Day.

The senior idol donated ₩10.0 million KRW (about $6,830 USD) through the Korean Red Cross to support the bereaved families.
