Choi Yena Admits Her Reputation As A “Cursing Idol” Changes Fans’ Behavior Toward Her
Soloist Choi Yena was the latest guest on Jonathan Thona‘s TheKstarNextDoor, where she hilariously clarified her status as a “cursing idol.”
In each episode, Jonathan has a variety of topics prepared for the guests to clarify. The segment “K-Profiles” has the guests respond to and explain trending keywords and phrases associated with them.
One of the keywords Jonathan had prepared for the talented singer was “K-TV Ban,” which surprised even Choi Yena.
Jonathan quickly revealed why “K-TV Ban” was associated with Choi Yena as he read the titles of multiple compilations of the idol cursing during broadcast.
As he read through the list, Choi Yena hilariously began to understand why the keyword was associated with her but took the opportunity to explain the situation.
Choi Yena amusingly admitted that she’d cursed many times, saying that she couldn’t deny it when it was true.
While she admits it, she said it’s also upsetting because it changed how fans interacted with her, which worried her since it was university festival season.
Choi Yena revealed that when she participates in university festivals, instead of the fans asking her to do something cute, they often ask her to curse instead.
After reflecting on the compilations and her fan requests, she shared that she understands why cursing is one of her associated keywords.
