Chuu And (G)I-DLE's Yuqi Give Advice On How To Handle A Friend's Cheating Boyfriend

(G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi appeared on Chuu‘s web series Chuu Can Do It to solve a few tricky situations. One scenario placed the idols in the shoes of someone who witnessed their friend cheating on their other friend. Chuu and Yuqi shared their differing opinions on whether or not to tell.

Yuqi didn’t hesitate to make a choice and would act just as quickly when seeing the friend cheat. She surprised Chuu by saying, “I think I’ll make a call right away.”

While Yuqi wasn’t afraid to be honest with her friend, Chuu was against the idea because it could cause even more problems in the future. If the couple rekindled their rocky romance, she would become their new enemy. However, that posed another problem.

I might catch myself in the crossfire for doing that, so no. If I tell, I don’t think I can go to sleep. Why tell? Because once they later clear up any issues and come back to me… (imitates the friend throwing water in her face).

Even if Chuu softened the blow by dropping hints that the boyfriend cheated, that could ruin their friendship as well. So Yuqi pointed out that it would be even more heartbreaking for the friend if they never directly revealed it at all.

But later you can be faced with, ‘Why didn’t you say?’ That’s why I’d rather say it all first. As soon as she knows you knew it all? She will feel more betrayed.

By the end of the discussion, most of the show’s staff sided with Yuqi about telling the friend about her cheating boyfriend. Even Chuu admitted she’d been convinced that it was the better option.
