The “Dangerous” MV Scene That NCT’s Taeyong Insisted On Filming
NCT‘s Taeyong recently made his solo comeback with his second solo EP, TAP, on February 26, 2024.
To celebrate his solo comeback, Taeyong appeared on 1theK’s original series, IDDP.
During the video, the NCT member searched his name on the web and responded to trending posts, fans’ stories about him, his official profile, and even scrolled through posts on popular online community boards such as TheQoo and Instiz.
While reading through facts about himself and NCT, he came across a post about NCT U‘s 2020 song “Make A Wish (Birthday Song).”
The post described Taeyong’s “difficult performance” in the music video, where he hung backward off of a suspended chandelier.
Taeyong went into more behind-the-scene details about the scene, revealing that it almost didn’t happen.
The NCT leader explained that staff members had deemed the scene dangerous and they didn’t want Taeyong to do it, but he instead insisted they raise the chandelier higher and continue with the scene.
Taeyong revealed he had spun on the chandelier for thirty minutes and got sick, but ultimately felt it was worth it to get the scene that the post described as “a legendary scene that received enthusiastic reactions.”
