Using Eco Bags And Walking Home From Work — Top K-Drama Actress Shares Her Baffling Lifestyle
After the record-breaking success of her last K-Drama Queen of Tears, Kim Ji Won has reached her new career peak in terms of popularity. Though the actress embodied the character of a rich heiress on the show as if it was her alter ego, Kim Ji Won’s real lifestyle is shockingly opposite.
In an interview with COSMOPOLITAN Korea, the actress gave some sneak peeks at her lifestyle. During the “in my bag” segment of the interview, Kim Ji Won brought out her personal belongings all wrapped up in a handmade handkerchief! She explained that the handkerchief was made by her older sister as a gift and since she didn’t carry around a bag usually, she used it as a substitute.
As if seeing an A-list actress carry her items inside a makeshift handkerchief sack wasn’t enough, Kim also revealed that while filming Queen of Tears, she carried her stuff in an eco-bag (reusable shopping bag) for a year!
In addition, Kim revealed that she still preferred walking home after work, given that the filming location is not too far or it is not too late in the day. “I just pop in my earphones and walk home alone while it’s still light out, which helps me sort through my thoughts about the day and let go of some worries,” she explained.
Despite being one of the most popular actresses in South Korea, with a successful career spanning over a decade, Kim Ji Won’s lifestyle is surprisingly far removed from the usual glitz and glamour of the industry. The actress’s fortune, however, is enviable. According to reports, she purchased a building worth ₩6.30 billion KRW (about $4.76 million USD) in 2021, which also earned her some mild criticism.
