Here’s Everything We Know About This “Egg Blanket” That Follows Suzy Everywhere
It was back in September 2012 when Suzy‘s fans first spotted the star wrapped inside a particular blanket…
… later affectionately nicknamed her “Egg Blanket”. This egg blanket has kept her warm in 2013, while she starred in Gu Family Book…
… and throughout the years. Here’s the egg blanket making its cameo appearance in the 2016’s Uncontrollably Fond series’s behind-the-scenes pictures.
In 2018, Suzy showed off her egg blanket game still being strong, in this picture shared on her Instagram!
And the latest update on this egg blanket’s whereabouts? Well, as far as we know, it accompanied Suzy in her 2019 Lancôme brand photoshoot.
This blanket — by the official name of “Glamping Blanket” — hails from the South Korean fashion brand Bean Pole, as a part of the brand’s outdoor collection launched 2012. It had actually been produced to be free gifts to customers who purchased over $300.
When a curious fan finally asked Suzy about the blanket at a fan meeting, here’s what Suzy dished:
Fan: I know this is such a stupid question, but I’ve been dying to know for a while now…
Suzy: Sure, what is it?
Fan: Your egg blanket has been like… a soulmate to you since 2012. As soon as it starts getting cold, you start wrapping yourself in it. So… Do you have several of the same blanket or is it one blanket that doesn’t ever get washed?
Suzy: That is an excellent question I did not expect. I think my manager would know.
Fan: So you don’t wash it yourself ever?
Suzy: No… (Laughs)
Fan: (Laughs)
Suzy: Well, the manager is saying it may not be often — but it does get washed.
Fan: Oh great, I was worried it hasn’t been washed at all since 2012.
Suzy: (Laughs more)
Fan: Thank you for answering.
Knowing Suzy and her inexplicable loyalty to the egg blanket, it is unlikely the blanket has gone anywhere. Fans are convinced the egg blanket will make a comeback for the 2020 F/W season!
