These Fake “Couples” Clowned Dispatch Just Because They Can
For the past decade, the Korean news outlet Dispatch has revealed a new idol couple on New Year’s Day.
January 1, 2020 is one of the few times in the last 10 years that Dispatch did not continue its annual tradition. Instead, Market News broke K-Pop’s first couple of 2020: Super Junior‘s Heechul and TWICE‘s Momo.
Dispatch’s reputation for sleuthing and exposing couples is so notorious that fans love having fun with it. So do some celebrities!

Back in 2016, a Dispatch reporter snapped behind the scenes photos of Girls Generation‘s Yoona and actor Ji Chang Wook on the set of their drama, The K2.
When Ji Chang Wook spotted Dispatch, he immediately latched onto Yoona and pretended they were dating!
Ji Chang Wook and Yoona aren’t the only “couple” who clowned Dispatch though. One time, GOT7‘s Jackson and Yugyeom got “caught” in the act.
When Jackson noticed this camera, he shouted, “Dispatch! Dispatch!” then hid under a chair!
Will 2020 bring more fake idol couples? Let’s hope so!
