Fan-Taken Video Shows Impressive Way NewJeans Prevented “Super Shy” From Being Leaked
NewJeans recently returned with two pre-release singles, “NewJeans” and “Super Shy,” ahead of their upcoming mini-album, Get Up, which is set to be released on July 27.
Before they made their comeback, they were spotted filming their music video in Portugal, but among the fan-taken videos, the group still managed to keep their fun and addictive new track “Super Shy” under wraps.

With recently released behind-the-scenes footage taken by a fan, it was revealed how it was possible to keep NewJeans’ new song a secret while filming in public and showed just how impressive the group and the dancers were on set.
Before dropping their new songs, NewJeans member Hanni hinted that they would be “fresh” with a “lot more variety to offer.”
Everything about our new songs is … fresh… Compared to our previous releases, this new mini album definitely has a lot more variety to offer, in not just genre of music and dance style, but what we are striving to express and show to you.

Aside from Hanni’s few clues about the comeback, little else was known about the highly anticipated songs.
To keep the song a surprise while filming the “Super Shy” music video in public, only short bits of the lyrics were included in the audio used while NewJeans and the dancers performed.

While it’s common practice for artists to learn dances through count-based choreography, fans found it impressive that the members were able to keep time with their dancing and lip-syncing while filming for the music video, despite the lack of lyrics.

Through their efforts, their full song was able to remain a secret until its official release on July 7.
After the “Super Shy” dance practice video was officially released, NewJeans again earned praise for their impressive skill and synchronization.
