Fifth Generation Idol Goes Viral For Her Drastic Transformation In Four Years
Making it big in the K-Pop idol industry is a difficult feat for any individual, but some of them have to show more perseverance than others to finally fulfill their dreams. KISS OF LIFE’s Natty is one such idol.
Recently, a netizen posted about how far the “Sugarcoat” singer has come in her career within just four years simply by pointing out the difference in her music show appearances. Four years ago, the OP (original poster) wrote that Natty was standing at the very back, along, while other singers won the trophies for the number one song.
Not only did she and her group, KISS OF LIFE, get much more mainstream attention now, but she got to win the trophy for the top song as well. On July 9, KISS OF LIFE achieved their first music show win with “Sticky,” 370 days after the group’s debut!
Natty, a Thai national who came to Korea almost ten years ago, has constantly worked hard to establish herself in K-Pop. In 2015, she participated in Sixteen, the survival show that ultimately created JYP Entertainment’s TWICE. In 2017, she was a contestant on Mnet’s Idol School, and slimly missed the chance to be on the final lineup of Fromis_9.
Natty finally made her debut as a soloist in 2020 after leaving JYP Entertainment with her debut single, “Nineteen.” She made her first music show appearance on Music Bank in May of the same year. But it wasn’t until her debut with KISS OF LIFE in 2022 that she finally started receiving popular attention, which eventually led to the group’s first win!
Natty’s long journey as an idol has left many netizens emotional who couldn’t praise her perseverance enough.
