One Male Actor Always Goes Shirtless In His K-Dramas — Even If It’s Not In The Script

“…they suddenly wanted to add it.”

K-Drama viewers can’t resist an actor going shirtless, especially when the scene is set perfectly. One actor is so well-known for his muscular body that he always bares his abs on screen.

When the cast of the talk show My Little Old Boy (also known as Mom’s Diary) was joined by Ahn Bo Hyun, the actor revealed the common thread between all his K-Drama roles. Whether it was a “romance, action, [or] legal drama,” he ended up going shirtless.

Wondering why Ahn Bo Hyun would need to go shirtless for a legal drama, comedian Shin Dong Yup sent everyone into a fit of laughter with his explanation. He said, “Even the prosecutor has to take a shower.” They also asked the actor if the same was true for his newest K-Drama role.

Ahn Bo Hyun confirmed he would be continuing the trend by going shirtless in Flex X Cop but hadn’t initially planned to do so. The K-Drama’s writers couldn’t pass up the chance to add one of the actor’s iconic shirtless scenes.

There wasn’t a scene like that in the original script. But they suddenly wanted to add it. They wanted ten seconds worth of footage. For ten seconds, I worked out hard for three weeks.
