Former “A2K” Contestant Cristina Met Her Stray Kids Bias At The Worst Possible Moment
In 2023, eleven K-Pop idol hopefuls competed for the debut line-up of VCHA on the idol reality competition program A2K, a joint venture between famed Korean entertainment company JYP Entertainment and American record label Republic Records.
The six VCHA members, Lexi, Camila, Kaylee, KG, Kendall, and Savanna, were revealed as the group’s debut line-up during the final A2K episode on September 21, 2023.
With five contestants eliminated across the show’s 22 episodes, many viewers became fans of the talented eliminated contestants, including Cristina Lopez Sandiford.

Recently, a clip of Cristina speaking about her unexpected encounter with Stray Kids‘ Hyunjin gained attention on TikTok as netizens reacted to how relatable the moment was.
Cristina explained that she had been in the JYP Entertainment building, and they were playing a Stray Kids music video on the artist floor.
She shared that she was trying to take a picture of the music video when she knew Hyunjin would be on the screen, despite there being a rule against taking photos in the company building. Cristina hilariously revealed that Hyunjin was her bias, so she felt she had to take a photo of him on the screen.
When she had her phone out and ready to take the photo, someone approached her and asked what she was doing, and it was none other than Hyunjin.
She relatably told him she was taking the photo for a friend while apologizing for breaking the no pictures rule. Cristina concluded that all was well between the two after her minor rule “violation,” and she went on to spot the Stray Kids members a few times in the company building while filming A2K.
