A Male Idol Got Into A Fight With Fans—All Because Of His Haircut
In an industry where visuals are important, some fans can be very opinionated about how their favorite K-Pop idols look. So opinionated that a second-generation idol had to fight with his fans about his own hairstyle.
During FTISLAND‘s interview with Jaejoong for the singer’s web series Jaefriends, the idol band’s leader mentioned a fight he had with fans at their recent fan meeting.
The fight between Lee Hongki and his fans was about hair. Primadonnas told the singer to cut his hair short. He had other ideas.
Instead, Hongki wanted his hair to “grow a bit because it’s at an awkward length.”
Fans wouldn’t back down, so Hongki offered a solution that made Jaejooong and the staff laugh: everyone could cut their hair together.
They want my hair short. So I told them yesterday, ‘If you shave your hair, I’ll have my hair cut.’

It looks like fans will have to trust Hongki as he continues to grow out his hair.
