GFRIEND’s Agency Under Fire For The Most Abrupt Postponement of The Group’s Fan Sign Event
On February 23, 2020, GFRIEND and their fans, BUDDYs, came together at their scheduled “fan meeting” event in Seoul, thrilled by the thought of interacting on a more personal level.
The event, however, came to an abrupt stop as the agency, Source Music, announced to postpone it as a precautionary measure in light of the current COVID-19 situation rampant in Korea. While it is surely better to be safe than sorry, and BUDDYs 100% agree that the safety of the members and themselves are far more important, they can’t understand why the agency hadn’t thought to postpone the event before everyone showed up.
GFRIEND members ended up shedding tears while apologizing to BUDDYs who made time to attend the event…
… and BUDDYs promised the members that it is A okay and that they will definitely meet again soon…

It’s fine, you don’t have to be sorry.
… but the agency is definitely facing heavy criticism for its “lack of professionalism in handling things”. According to BUDDYs who attended the postponed event, the agency also did not clarify how the fans will be compensated for their waste of money and time, if they are even to be compensated.
Source Music is yet to respond to the fire, as BUDDYs keep watching on.
