(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon Doesn’t Think Being An Idol Is A Difficult Job… For The Most Heartwarming Reason
The HeyNews YouTube channel has a moving series where K-Pop idols meet with the mothers of some of their biggest fans. The series is often emotional, with the mothers realizing just how influential the idols are in their children’s lives.
EXO Suho’s Fan Quits Her Job Just To See Him Perform… And Ends Up Getting Her Dream Job
(G)I-DLE‘s Miyeon is the most recent idol to take part in the series, meeting with the mother of one of her fans as part of her promotions for her solo debut MY.
Altough the mother was a bit hesitant about her daughter’s fangirl life, voicing her concerns over her daughter missing school to watch Miyeon’s VLIVEs…
And her daughter’s spending on (G)I-DLE albums…
She admits that after having met Miyeon she’s grateful for the impact she had in her daughter’s life. Although the mother admitted that she thought being a fan girl “looked like an one-sided relationship…”
Talking to Miyeon helped her realize that her daughter’s fangirling wasn’t in vain since Miyeon works so hard to give back to her fans.
But despite how dedicated Miyeon is to her fans, Miyeon admits that she’s never “thought this job was a hard job.”
Although many idols, including Miyeon, have gone through many struggles in order to debut and to continue to pursue their dreams, Miyeon expresses that she feels lucky to be an idol “because [she gets] loved and supported more than anyone else.”
Even the letter that her fan wrote her is proof of how supported Miyeon feels.
It’s our fans who always make me feel that I’m so loved and I’m a happy person.
-Miyeon
And Miyeon even further proves how grateful she is for her fans by pointing out that the mother’s daughter is her fan, even though she had a lot of idol groups she could have preferred.
So the mother’s daughter being her fan “is something like destiny.”
And Miyeon promises to receive her fans’ love and support and do her best to return the favor to support them.
