K-Pop Idol Shocked By Her Own Unexpectedly NSFW Comment
Sometimes, what you say and what you mean can be totally different, especially when more than one language is involved. One K-Pop idol knows that better than most!
(G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi, whose native language is Chinese, has been the victim of a funny mistranslation more than once. The most famous incident might be when she accidentally said “testicular inflammation” in front of her cast-mates…and everyone watching the show from home!

Like many idols, Yuqi likes to keep fans up to date on her activities on social media, including the fan-exclusive platform Bubble. “I’m going to cry it out for 10 minutes and then pack my luggage,” she wrote before a trip. “I was supposed to pack yesterday, but I didn’t want to waste time while Mom and Dad were here, so I decided to pack after they left.”
Fans who used the auto-translation feature were shocked by what was definitely not supposed to be a NSFW comment. The app translated the second half of Yuqi’s comment to: “I needed to ejaculate yesterday, but my mom and dad were there so it was a waste of time. I decided to ejaculate after they left.” Uh…what?
Fans weren’t the only ones stunned. “What’s with the translation??” Yuqi wrote after seeing the autotranslation. “OMG what’s with the translation”.
Fans are used to translation tools being buggy, but how did such a NSFW error happen? The translation tool mistakenly translated the verb “to pack” as “to ejaculate.” Fun fact: ChatGPT decided to translate “to pack” as “pee.” Poor Yuqi just can’t win!
