Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon’s Iconic Blonde Hair Won’t Be Returning For A While, But She’s Considering Another Transformation
Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon has sported lighter hair colors since her debut. From varying shades of brown, pink, blue, and auburn to a bleach blonde dream, she’s consistently switched up her style, rocking each look.
Although blonde hair is far from her natural hair color, netizens have complimented the talented idol on how well the hair color suits her for years.
Hyoyeon has been dying her hair for over a decade, and in 2020 and 2022, she temporarily returned to black hair for her “Dessert” and “DEEP” promotions before going back to lighter shades.
Now, Hyoyeon has again opted for darker hair; this time, it’s here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, Hyoyeon addressed the many hair colors she’s had in recent years and shared that after maintaining her blonde hair and trying out various colorful hues, her hair was “finally damaged.”
She added that the vibe of her newest solo song, “Picture,” best suited dark hair, which was another reason she dyed her hair black.
She concluded by saying that once someone dyes their hair dark, they can’t (healthily) return to bright colors again, at least for a while. So, for fans wanting to see her with lighter hair again, she hilariously advised they look at her old photos because she’s not thinking of dying her hair anytime soon.
Hyoyeon did tease she may try a shorter haircut soon, so it seems her hair transformations are far from over, even if she’s pausing on bleaching or dyeing it for now.
