Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany and Sooyoung Composed And Wrote A Song For Their Members For The First Time
Girls’ Generation has been around for so long that it feels like they’ve done everything there is to do for an idol group. That makes it even more surprising that their new song “Villain,” coming off their 15th-anniversary album Forever 1, is the first track they released that was composed by one of their members! Tiffany, the composer, was excited to be directing her friends for the first time.
Her fellow member Sooyoung wrote the lyrics after being inspired by the film Cruella starring Emma Stone. She was reminded of her group because of how the character developed and took control of her life by the movie’s end.
Sunny was the first to walk into the recording booth. Immediately, she felt emotional recording a member’s song for the first time.
Although it was unclear how this new dynamic would unfold initially, Tiffany’s passion quickly rubbed off on Sunny.
Sooyoung was next to record, and she also admitted that Tiffany’s hard work over the years had paid off, making her a great musical director.
Yoona also agreed and said that recording with a friend made communicating easier.
Hyoyeon complimented Sooyoung’s lyrics, saying that she had no idea she was the writer until she came to the studio, and her skills have improved significantly over the years.
Their leader Taeyeon appreciated how much time and effort it must have taken Tiffany to put together the track.
Members Yuri and Seohyun wrapped up their parts nicely, thanks to Tiffany’s clear direction.
Lastly, Tiffany wrapped up the emotional session with her vocals. She was delighted by how all her member’s strengths appeared throughout the song and rained compliments on them all the time.
Truly, there is no bigger fan of Girls’ Generation than Girls’ Generation themselves!
