How GOT7’s Relationship Has Evolved, According To Mark
GOT7‘s Mark recently sat down for an interview with ESQUIRE Korea‘s YouTube channel, where he answered a variety of questions about everything from his nicknames to his favorite fancam of himself.
In the video, Mark also watched some videos of GOT7 having fun goofing around with each other, which Mark explains that, looking back, he’s not sure how they had such high energy levels.
Why was I like that? Why were we so high [energy]?
-Mark
And because of the video, which shows GOT7 playing each other in rock-paper-scissors where the winner does the dishes, Mark shares that GOT7 usually places bets against each other.
We bet a lot. Even when we are practicing, we bet. Such as getting butt kicked if someone makes a wrong move. I don’t know why we are doing this, but it’s pretty amusing.
-Mark
And while Mark admits that he doesn’t have any specific story about the members reuniting for their recent comeback GOT7, he instead shares how their relationship as groupmates has evolved.
GOT7 parted ways with JYP Entertainment in January 2021, and there were many unfounded rumors about the group’s disbandment as all the members went on to pursue solo promotions. But as proof of their commitment to staying together as a group, GOT7 recently reunited to put together their comeback GOT7, and their fancon, 2022 FANCON HOMECOMING with I GOT 7.
Fans were understandably enthusiastic about all the group content, loving seeing the members back together again.
And in his interview, Mark confirms that GOT7 were feeling the same way about being reunited. In fact, he argues that they have an even stronger connection than before.
Since it’s been a while, we teamed up pretty well. Even better than before I think.
-Mark
He explains that their respect for one another as people and artists has only grown over time.
We do respect each other, so it’s easier.
-Mark
With their improved synergy, fans can look forward to what GOT7 will continue to do in the future.
