Guess Which Body Part Won In Stray Kids’ Debate On Face Vs. Private Part To Cover In A Sauna Fire?
Stray Kids members recently appeared in Showterview With Sunmi to promote their latest song, “Case 143.”
Sunmi presented them with a debate activity for which they would be divided into two groups to defend a keyword they picked. Sunmi gave them this situation: if a fire broke out in a sauna they were in, and they had just one towel to cover their body, which part would they cover, their face or their private part?
The boys each picked a folded piece of paper to determine the keyword they would be defending. Lee Know, Changbin, Han, and Bangchan got “Covering your face,” while Felix, Seungmin, I.N, and Hyunjin got “Covering your private part.”
Lee Know started the ball rolling with a passionate defense of covering his face, saying that with his face covered, no one would recognize him, and he could get away quickly.
Felix argued that Lee Know’s back could still be seen even with his face covered. Han responded that so many people have the same hairstyle and was supported by Changbin, who proved there was a way to cover the face and hair. Felix remained adamant that sharp-eyed people would still recognize them even with their faces covered.
Hyunjin’s concern was having private parts come out in the news if they chose to cover the face over private parts, to which Han and Lee Know said the private parts get blurred in new stories anyway.
Hyunjin then asked, what if they wanted to take a taxi? Would the driver let them into his cab? It was a tricky question that they all laughed at.
I.N also pointed out the matter of courtesy, to which the “private parts” team reasoned that in an emergency, courtesy could be set aside.
In support of I.N’s statement, Seungmin argued further about the ethics of covering private parts.
At this point, Sunmi was enjoying the debate so much that she seemed to be going crazy, imagining the scenarios the boys described.
In the end, Sunmi made her choice of which team wins. She chose Team “Covering your private part” because they argued the ethics of covering private parts well. She also picked Seungmin as the debate king for consistently arguing calmly with facts. She gave Seungmin a book for his prize.
