The buzz around Bridgerton season 4 is only growing, especially with the recent announcement that Yerin Ha has been cast in a leading role.
The rising actress is set to play the role of Sophie Beckett, the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson). Born in Australia on June 26, 1995, Yerin Ha has quite a cultural background. She was raised in Sydney by Korean parents and comes from a family deeply connected to the arts and the spotlight — her grandmother is the renowned Korean actress and politician Son Sook.
Following in her family’s footsteps, Ha decided to pursue acting at a young age, moving to South Korea at 15 to attend the prestigious Kaywon High School of Arts in Seoul.
After honing her craft in South Korea, Ha returned to Australia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting, majoring in Musical Theatre from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2018. Her talent quickly caught the attention of the Australian entertainment industry, leading to a breakout role in the Sydney Theatre Company’s 2019 production of Lord of the Flies.
Ha’s career has since continued to rise rapidly. She gained international recognition with her role as Kwan Ha in the Paramount+ series Halo, produced by Steven Spielberg, and has also appeared in the ABC TV series Troppo as well as the feature film Sissy. Her role in the Stan miniseries Bad Behaviour further proves her versatility as an actress.
In addition to her upcoming role in Bridgerton, Ha is set to star in HBO‘s Dune: Prophecy, a prequel series to the popular Dune franchise, where she will portray Young Kasha.
