The Hilarious Way Yunjin's Parents Reacted To News Of LE SSERAFIM's Collaboration With Nile Rodgers

LE SSERAFIM recently made a comeback with the title track “Unforgiven,” and it was produced by one of the biggest names in the music industry—Nile Rodgers! This was the first time he had ever worked on a K-Pop song before. For a group that didn’t debut too long ago, it is a huge deal.

In a joint interview with GRAMMY, the producer was asked why he chose LE SSERAFIM. Without skipping a beat, he replied that he fell in love with the song. It was an easy decision for him to make.

He went on to compliment the K-Pop genre for its interesting chord changes, which he believes is even more fascinating than other music fields at the moment.

It’s clear that he enjoyed working with the K-Pop group, but what did the girls think of the collaboration?

They were asked, “LE SSERAFIM, did you know about Nile’s work before? What was your reaction when you learned that he was featuring on ‘Unforgiven?’” Sakura and Yunjin answered on behalf of the group.

According to the Japanese member, they couldn’t believe it when they were told the news. They felt that it was a “really, really huge honor.” When they heard “Unforgiven” for the first time, they were shocked. Like Rodgers, they also loved it the moment they heard it.

It was a really, really huge honor, and I still cannot believe that it happened. When Nile first played the guitar for us, I was completely blown away. I was like, ‘Is this going to be in our song?‘ I couldn’t believe it. I was really proud.

Yunjin, on the other hand, also felt honored to be working with the musician. She was raised in the United States, so she naturally heard about him since before. She was incredibly excited and proud.

Well, I grew up in the States, so of course I knew. We were all so shocked to know that such a legend would work with us. It hasn’t even been a year since we debuted, we were so honored and so excited.

And it turns out the members weren’t the only ones who felt that way! Hilariously, Yunjin’s parents were completely floored when she told them about the collaboration. Their mouths dropped open, and they shouted, “No way!”
