In January 2023, a resemblance between a Hollywood actor and SHINee‘s Taemin was highlighted, causing them both to gain attention.

SHINee’s Taemin is a handsome idol whose looks often go viral.

Recently, Taemin’s appearance was part of an unexpected discussion on social media. Several users shared their opinion that Taemin and the Irish actor Cillian Murphy shared a resemblance, providing photos as evidence.

Cillian Murphy has been active in the industry since 1996 (three years after Taemin was born) and has appeared in many blockbuster films, including 28 Days Later and The Dark Knight trilogy.

Last year, he gained substantial attention on social media during the promotions for the film Oppenheimer, as the movie was paired with Barbie in memes.

At first glance, the resemblance between the two stars is not there, but upon closer examination, especially with younger Cillian photos, the two share similar traits like their head shapes, lips, and eye shape.

And while many do not see the similarities, these comparisons are not new in the slightest. Fans discovered a tweet from a decade ago saying that Cillian looked like a “Western” version of Taemin.
