The Idol Who Went On A Dating Show To Save His Secret, 5+ Year Relationship

Many were surprised by his idol perspective.

It is well-known that stars will sometimes date in secret for various reasons. Many K-Pop idols have been “caught” dating by Dispatch or decided to reveal their relationship many years into it.

However, very few, if any, others have gone on a dating program meant to help them save their relationship.

In 2022, Netflix added Change Days 2 to its catalog of shows. In the program, like the first season, four couples on the brink of breaking up get date each other’s partners and will ultimately decide if their current relationship is indeed what they want.

One couple that had a high interest was Lee Jeong Hun and Choi Hui Hyeon. The couple’s newest issues stem from Jeong Hun having to complete his enlistment soon after postponing it throughout his previous career.

Lee Jeong Hun, better known as formerly TST‘s Junghoon, did not enlist as he was active as an idol.

The couple had been dating for over 5 years and met on a blind date when Jeonghun was still a trainee. According to the couple, they had many difficulties secretly dating during Jeong Hun’s idol career, including a previous breakup.

I think I’ve been lonely in this relationship from the start. We couldn’t go on dates like others and could barely contact each other. I had a boyfriend, but I was lonely.

The issue of enlistment — and making Hui Hyeon wait even longer for him — and the financial burden were the issues that brought the couple on the show.

As the show went on, many worried that the couple would end up separating as the new issues they faced proved too much.

Instead, Jeong Hun and Hui Hyeon were among the couples who exited the show together, still in a relationship.

The real question is, did the pair actually make it the long run in the end?

The answer seems to be unfortunately not, based on several clues following the program’s end. To start, photos of the couple were deleted from both of their Instagram accounts.

Additionally, the pair used to run a couples YouTube channel, which has had all of the content wiped away.

The two reality stars are both private on Instagram at the moment, but Jeong Hun has a TikTok account where he has posted a couple videos this year, seeming to point to the completion of his service.

While it is unfortunate that they were unable to solve their issues, hopefully Jeong Hun and Hui Hyeon are happy in their current circumstances!
