Indonesian Singer NIKI Wants To Collab With “Homie” BLACKPINK’s Lisa
In an interview with StyleCaster, Indonesian singer Niki revealed her dream collab: none other than “homie” BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
R&B and indie folk singer-songwriter NIKI has opened for Taylor Swift and Halsey on tour. She’s also one of Lisa’s closest celebrity friends.
Lisa and NIKI started showing each other love on social media back in 2018. After Lisa posted NIKI’s song “Spell” on her Instagram story, it began trending on MelOn.

Then, in April last year, the two finally got to meet in person. Lisa and NIKI went on the cutest friend date at Los Angeles’s Griffith Observatory and uploaded plenty of adorable pics to commemorate it.
NIKI even attended BLACKPINK’s LA concert a few days later.

And it’s safe to say this sweet bond lives on. It’s been almost a year since Lisa met NIKI in person, and now NIKI wants to take their friendship one step further with a song collab.
NIKI told Style Caster Lisa is her “homie”, and that one day she hopes to collaborate with her.
I love BLACKPINK. I love Lisa. She’s my homie.

Together, NIKI says they could “rep the Southeast region”. Both Lisa and NIKI come from Southeast Asia—Lisa from Thailand, and NIKI from Indonesia.
However, whether the collab will happen remains to be seen. While BLACKPINK did collaborate with Dua Lipa in 2018, nothing has come to fruition since then despite many artists expressing their desire for a collab.
GRAMMY-nominated R&B singer Gallant recently revealed that he sent Rosé a song. While she did respond, Gallant went on to say that he doesn’t have “a good relationship with people’s companies”, implying that YG Entertainment may have put a stop to the collaboration.
sounds like yg already put a stop to the gallant/rosé collab 😭 pic.twitter.com/yE4cpFDmKE

It’s now been a year since BLACKPINK released “Kill This Love”, so any new music from BLACKPINK—including collaborations—would be much appreciated by BLINKs this year. Here’s hoping the Lisa x NIKI collab goes somewhere!
