“Itaewon Class” Actor Kim Dong Hee Faces Viewer Criticism For Lacking “The Villain Charm”
With each episode, the hit K-Drama Itaewon Class grows more complicated — and the twisted fates of the characters are keeping the viewers on edge.
In the most recent run of episodes, the role of Jang Geun Soo who is the second son of Jangga Co., played by actor Kim Dong Hee, has become the new “villain” of the story — as he tries to inherit his father’s company and bring down the role of Park Saeroyi played by actor Park Seo Joon.
Unfortunately, when Jang Geun Soo “turned into the bad guy”, some viewers found the acting hard to believe.
They criticized the acting is “barely convincing” and “so subpar that it breaks the flow of the show” even.
A few even called out that Kim Dong Hee’s acting skill “has never been impressive” even in his previous work, Sky Castle.
With only a few more episodes to go, viewers hope that Kim Dong Hee will be able to soon overcome that “weak” portrayal of the role and really come to embrace the character’s “good-boy-gone-bad” vibe.
