ITZY’s Lia Stuns Fans With Her Voice In Her Recording Of “Always Be Your Star”
In a recent vlog on ITZY‘s YouTube channel, main vocalist Lia took fans behind the scenes of her recording her OST (original soundtrack) “Always Be Your Star” for the recent K-Drama The Red Sleeve.
Her vlog started in a car on the way to the recording studio, where she shared that she was “happy to participate in singing the soundtrack for a show that many seniors are starring in.”
She also showed viewers a bit of her process in preparing to record a song, eating some bread on the drive, so she did not record on an empty stomach.
When she arrived at the studio, she showed her singing expertise, falling into what the video subtitles called her “recording routine.” She put on some hand lotion, stretched, adjusted the recording booth’s lights and her headset, and reviewed her notes before beginning recording.
And immediately, fans were captivated by her beautiful voice as she started recording the OST. She sang the touching song with deep emotion in her voice.
from this video alone, you can see how much emotions she gave to recorded the OST & hard-working her. truly proud of you, Choi Liapic.twitter.com/qyGAinpebS

She proved her sincerity in the recording by not only spending almost five hours trying to get the perfect version of the song but by even speaking up and asking the producer if she could re-record certain parts.
Once she had finished recording, Lia told fans that she hoped to eat kimchi fried rice when she got back to the dorm. And Lia certainly deserves to eat whatever she wants after working so hard to create such a beautiful song for both the K-Drama and for MIDZY to enjoy.
And of course, MIDZY loved the OST when it came out, and seeing the behind-the-scenes process only made them appreciate Lia’s hard work even more.
“I prepared hard since this is the first soundtrack I'm taking part in. And I think it turned out so well.”
