ITZY Once Fell Totally Speechless After Ryujin Sent “The Boss” A Straight-Forward Message
During promotions for their 2021 song “Loco,” ITZY appeared as guests on Showterview with Jessi.
The girls are all big fans of Jessi, and the feeling is mutual, so the atmosphere in the video is great from the very beginning.
Throughout the interview, they have lots of fun chatting with each other, which is a real treat to watch, especially Yuna‘s total fangirling over Jessi. Later in the interview, they play a game where Cho Jung Shik (also known as Jo Jeong Shik) provides a prompt to one of the girls and she must answer with 3 things that fit the prompt within 5 seconds.
When he asks Ryujin what 3 things she’d like to say to their boss, she only has one: “Please give us a bonus.”
The rest of the room is so taken aback by Ryujin’s bold request that they don’t even know how to respond.
Cho Jung Shik then passes the question to Yeji, who gives a more complete answer, but still manages to throw in the mention of a bonus.
He bounces back to Ryujin and asks what motivates her in life.
She once again stuns everyone into silence with her concise answer: “Payday.”
This time, though, she manages to wrap up her answer neatly with two more touching items: love from MIDZY, and her fellow group members.
Even so, Cho Jung Shik doesn’t fail to note that “payday” was the first word out of her mouth!
Don’t worry, Ryujin! We totally get you. Money may not be everything, but it sure does make the world go round!
