IU’s MBTI Personality Type Officially Changed, And Here’s How She Reacted To The Results
When it comes to the world of K-Pop, it seems as if you can’t go a day without someone mentioning MBTI. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test asks a series of questions to determine someone’s personality. One person who has always been the true definition of her MBTI type is IU, who is known as INFP or the Mediator.
Recently, many K-Pop idols have retaken their MBTI tests and found that they’ve received different results, including BTS‘s V and ATEEZ‘s Jongho! IU is now the latest idol to share a change in her results!
IU recently appeared on a video for ELLE Korea after the release of her new track “Strawberry Moon,” where she answered fan questions.
One of the questions IU was asked was about the fact that she was always known as a true INFP but has recently found out that she became an INFJ, known as the Advocate. After a fan asked her about the result, IU didn’t realize it could change and took the test again to find out that she was now an INFJ.
IU then added that when she got her first result of IFNP, she wasn’t too surprised but thought, “Was I always this pure and nice?” In the past, she has showcased the typical personality traits of an INFP, including being shy, empathetic, imaginative, responsive to the arts, and much more.
Yet, she then added that one trait known for an INFP was that many often left people who texted them on “read” without actually replying. IU added that she could never do this, even if she didn’t mind if people did it to her.
When asked what INFJ traits IU had, it seems she had more in common with her new result, especially when it came to holidays and planning.
When I travel, I don’t plan my trip down to every minute. But I don’t think I’m the type that can enjoy if I don’t have any plans. ‘Being without any plans’ is part of my plan.

IU then added that she thinks that INFJ suits her personality more than INFP. Although it is seen as one of the rarest personality types, they are known to leave a mark on the world. They are seen as idealists and speak with a lot of passion, especially when standing up for others. Yet, just like IU, INFJ can also be softly spoken and prefers to keep the peace, as shown when she met with the AKMU.
There is no denying that no matter what personality trait IU gets, she will always be known as the Queen of K-Pop with her honey voice, charming personality, and regal visuals.
