IVE’s Yujin Watched A Movie Because Of Her Choreographer And Now She Has A New Favorite Genre
Recently IVE‘s Yujin gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the press conference for The Iron Squad 2.
The Iron Squad (also known as Steel Troops) is a Netflix show described as a “military survival program.” The show is made up of teams of people who served in South Korean special force units. Over the course of the show, they compete in various challenges to show off their stamina, mental strength, and cooperation.
The hosts who commentate through the episodes for season 2 include Super Junior‘s Heechul, Kim Sung Joo, Jang Dong Min, and Kim Dong Hyun, along with IVE’s Yujin.
As she waited for the press conference to start, Yujin chatted to the camera, sharing things with fans like her experience filming The Iron Squad 2…
… the proper way to salute…
… the fact that she didn’t think she would ever be able to pull off any of the missions in the show herself…
… and her current favorite movies.
Yujin shares that she started watching many animation movies after seeing Studio Ghibli‘s Ponyo.
IVE’s choreographer had mentioned the iconic movie, and since Yujin had never seen it, she watched a short clip during practice.
She thought that the clip she watched was beyond simply good and actually thought it felt therapeutic merely watching the movie.
So after practice, Yujin watched Ponyo that night and really enjoyed it, starting her new interest in animated movies.
Aside from Ponyo, Yujin has watched other Studio Ghibli films like Spirited Away.
Where she felt like the main character, Chihiro, was amazing for her ability not to be “swayed by any temptation.”
And Yujin also plans on watching Kiki’s Delivery Service next.
Along with Howl’s Moving Castle, which she started but hasn’t finished.
And she also wants to rewatch My Neighbor Totoro since she only has a vague memory of enjoying it when she was young.
Yujin also tells the camera that she watched Your Name the night before, which she really enjoyed.
Overall, Yujin describes her current taste in movies as “something cute and comfortable.” Which certainly describes most animated films.
Fans can eagerly wait for Yujin in The Iron Squad 2 and, hopefully, more movie recommendations from the idol.
