IZ*ONE’s Miyawaki Sakura Reveals Her Pain Over The Group’s Hiatus
IZ*ONE‘s Miyawaki Sakura expressed her feelings about the group’s comeback. Sakura recently resumed her DJ position on the radio show Tonight Under the Sakura Tree.
Sakura, who had taken a hiatus from the radio program for awhile said, “I was nervous about what to talk about because it’s been a long time. I really wanted to see you all. I’m glad we met again.”
She went on to say, “I’ve been an idol for 9 years, but it’s the first time I haven’t been on stage for three months. During that time, I was able to grow up and have time to think about idols and stages and my fans.”
IZ*ONE released their first full album BLOOM*IZ on February 17 and made a triumphant comeback to the delight of fans. Sakura revealed that she reads her fans’ messages of support and said, “Idols are supposed to convey smiles and happiness, but I could not do that for three months and I was worried WIZ*ONE would be in pain. Thank you very much for waiting. We came back thanks to WIZ*ONE. I didn’t know what would happen without WIZ*ONE.”
Sakura said, “It was painful because I didn’t want to wait.” She also expressed the pain of not being able to meet with fans or appear on music programs. She went on to say, “I’d be happy if you could support me in the future because I want to shine even more.“
