Japanese Girls Share Their Thoughts About Korean Men — But Koreans Totally Disagree
Recently, Japanese women were interviewed on the street about their ideas of Korean men, including which Korean men come to mind first, what they think about their image, and more.
The first group of women named both well-known actors and K-Pop idols, starting with Lee Dong Wook, Park Seo Joon, and BTS.
Q: “Who comes to mind when I say Korean men?”
A: “Lee Dong Wook, Park Seo Joon, BTS.”
The next group continued the actor trend by choosing Ji Chang Wook.
Q: “Who comes to mind when I say Korean men?”
A: ” Ji Chang Wook.”
According to the results of the survey, many Japanese women have a good image of Korean men and answered “yes” when asked if they would date them.
Q: “Who comes to mind when I say Korean men?”
A: “Lee Jong Suk.”
Q: “Do you want to date Korean men?”
A: “Yes!”
Some people only mentioned male K-Pop idols.
Q: “Who comes to mind when I say Korean men?”
A: “BTS and The Boyz.”
Meanwhile, others were more interested in actors.
Q: “Who comes to mind when I say Korean men?”
A: “Kim Soo Hyun.”
A: “Nam Joo Hyuk for me.”
As a whole, a Japanese girl answered that Korean men are known for being good-looking.
Q: “What do you think is the image of Korean men?”
A: “They’re handsome, tall, and look pretty.”
However, according to Koreans in the comments, they couldn’t be further from the truth!

- “Yeah…no”
- “*crying*”
- “Those people are pretty, handsome, and tall…”
- “We also only see [guys like that] on TV^^;;”
- “Nope, that’s not it….”
- “They’re handsome and tall because they’re celebrities….”
