Jeon Somi Opens Up About Her Experience As The Only Female Artist At THE BLACK LABEL
Jeon Somi was the most recent guest on Urban Zakapa member Jo Hyun Ah‘s YouTube show, Thursday Night.
During the episode, Jeon Somi opened up about her experience so far at her company, THE BLACK LABEL, including how her fellow labelmates treat her as the only female artist currently signed to the label.
Jeon Somi signed with THE BLACK LABEL in 2018 after previously having been a trainee under JYP Entertainment.
The now-soloist was also the maknae of the popular K-Pop girl group I.O.I before they disbanded in 2017.
With her new company, Somi made the decision to debut as a solo artist, and while it was a big change from previously being in an 11-member girl group, Somi revealed that her current labelmates look out for her.
Jo Hyun Ah shared that she had crossed paths with THE BLACK LABEL artist Zion. T before, and he was “really kind.” Jeon Somi agreed and hilariously shared that she even calls him “unnie,” showing just how friendly the two artists are with each other.
She sweetly added that her labelmates are “meticulous” and really pay attention to the details.
Somi revealed that her fellow labelmates treat her with care and even point out when she makes changes to her hair.
Jo Hyun Ah hilariously shared that it’s not always the same for her and her fellow Urban Zakapa members, as she recalled when she cut her hair and fellow member Kwon Sunil mistook the haircut for a wig.
Jeon Somi has shared her positive experiences at THE BLACK LABEL on multiple occasions and recently revealed that her signing with the company may have been fate, thanks to a fortune teller’s predictions.
