Jessi Gave The Perfect Response To Her Haters During Instagram Live
Solo rapper and singer Jessi has always been unapologetically herself. Unfortunately, many use this against her. She has been consistently attacked for not just her carefree attitude but also her appearance.
In a recent Instagram Live, while Jessi was promoting her new single, “What Type of X,” she noticed a lot of hate comments. Rather than ignore them, she addressed them.
You guys are always going to have something bad to say about me, but if you don’t like me, get off my Instagram, please, I beg you.
— Jessi
Jessi shared that she attempts to stay positive despite the negativity. She recognized the hardships she has overcome to get to where she is today.
I am such a positive person and I love everybody. I don’t have time for negativity in my life. I work so hard ever since I was 14 years old with no parents, no family helping me out. I am just me, okay? Stop saying that I am trying to be someone that I’m not.

In recent years, there has been an increase in comments, accusing Jessi of “blackfishing.” Blackfishing is normally an act perpetrated by white people to appear of African ancestry. Jessi noticed many people saying that she is blackfishing since she dyed her hair red for her new concept. She recalled being accused of “wanting to be white” when she had blonde hair as well. She added, “If you don’t like me, don’t watch me. I don’t care.”
Jessi stated that people will just find any reason to dislike someone. We know ourselves better than anybody, and she knows what all it has taken for her to get where she is today. Jessi shared that her loved ones help to keep her motivated, especially during difficult times.
I work so hard and I do this for all love, it’s all for love and I do this for my fans and I do this for my family.

Jessi, who has been going nonstop as she filmed music videos and promotions, was tired. She said that she has not been resting due to her busy schedule.
I work so hard. Nobody, even Psy oppa, can’t say nothing to me because I work so hard. I don’t sleep. When everyone is sleeping, I work. So there is nothing bad to say about me unless maybe you don’t like the way I talk or the way I look, but that’s just your opinion, okay?
— Jessi
Jessi says if you continue to hate, she will take action and report comments. This isn’t the first time she has addressed her haters online. She has previously responded to rude remarks about her getting plastic surgery. She said, “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it…” After acknowledging the negative comments on Instagram Live, she concluded by thanking those who continue to stay by her side and support her.
If you like me, you like me. If you don’t, you don’t. Please support. If you don’t want to support, don’t support. I’m very happy at where I am. I love my fans to death. I’m doing this all for my fans.
