Jun Ji Hyun’s Past Acting “Fail” From “My Love From The Star” Gets Revisited For Its Hilarity
Jun Ji Hyun is known as one of South Korea’s top actresses, as she slays in production after production with her phenomenal acting abilities. The veteran actress has an impressive resume under her belt with works, such as My Sassy Girl, The Legend of the Blue Sea, The Thieves, Kingdom: Ashin of the North and more.
And while the actress has been acclaimed time and time again for her incredible skills, a particular scene in perhaps one of her most notable productions has been re-making headlines.
In 2013, the actress took on the female lead role in the mega hit series My Love from the Star, opposite actor Kim Soo Hyun. The K-Drama went on to become one of the nation’s biggest hits, as it quickly became an international sensation as well. The unique, but hilarious plot line and the stellar cast saw massive success, but 8 years later, a particular scene from the series has found itself back in the limelight.
In one of the episodes, Jun Ji Hyun’s character Cheon Song Yi was expected to grab onto her stomach in an effort to emphasize her point. Due to her fit physique, however, the actress had a hard time grabbing onto her stomach, which led to her acting “fail.” Her only solution was to grab onto her clothing and create an illusion as if she was grabbing her abdomen area.
Upon seeing this clip once again, netizens began to discuss Jun Ji Hyun’s acting “fail,” who did her best to relay the same point across — with or without an actual stomach grab.
- “Deception!!! This is deception!!!”
- “ㅠㅠ this is deception.”
- “This acting is so disappointingㅠㅠ”
- “Even if she tries to, she can’t grab it…ㅠ”
- “The more you look at it, the more you realize she’s never been able to grab onto it…”
- “It’s because she can’t grab anything…she even has a hard time grabbing the clothing ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ”
- “Would you like me to show you how it’s done?”
What could she do? Jun Ji Hyun didn’t have anything to grab onto!
In related news, the actress’s special film Kingdom: Ashin of the North recently dropped so be sure to check it out on Netflix!
