The Underrated K-Drama Viewers Chose As The “Best Webtoon Adaptation” Of 2023

“This drama was one of the most satisfying dramas I’ve ever watched.”

With so many webtoons getting adapted into K-Dramas, a few—like the action fantasy Moving—stand out from the rest for their fantastic execution. There’s one in particular that viewers praised as the best of 2023.

From its release all the way into 2024, K-Drama viewers still can’t stop talking about the underrated webtoon adaptation Perfect Marriage Revenge, which stars Sung Hoon and Jung Yoo Min. Three things took the drama from a simple adaptation to a well-executed masterpiece.

When a fatal accident mysteriously sends her back in time, a young painter devises an elaborate plan for revenge on her unfaithful husband and sister.

Unlike other adaptations, Perfect Marriage Revenge didn’t stray away from the original storyline and didn’t drag out any of its conflicts.

Viewers also enjoyed the drama’s characters—especially the female lead.

Instead of relying on the damsel in distress trope, viewers appreciated that Jung Yoo Min’s character took charge and solved her own problems.

The area where Perfect Marriage Revenge really excelled for viewers was its budget. They didn’t let the low budget keep the adaption from being the best K-Drama it could be.
