How KISS OF LIFE’s Belle Feels After Following In Her Celebrity Father’s Footsteps
KISS OF LIFE member Belle recently shared how she felt about her celebrity father, Shim Shin.
Ever since S2 Entertainment first dropped the teaser for their new K-Pop girl group KISS OF LIFE in May 2023, netizens were excited to meet the members. Natty was already familiar to the public for being a former SIXTEEN and Idol School contestant, and Belle was known to be the daughter of Shim Shin, a popular singer from the 1990s.
Five months after debuting, Natty and Belle appeared on Park So Hyun‘s SBS Power FM radio show Park So Hyun’s Love Game, which aired on December 10.
They talked about how their comeback felt different from their debut in July.
During our debut, we were very nervous, and everything was new and unfamiliar, so we didn’t have the leisure to enjoy it. But when we had a comeback, it was exciting because there are fans who love us.

When asked about when she was most thankful for her father, Belle shared that it was when she finally walked in his shoes as a singer that she realized how hard he worked.
Rather than feeling thankful for something specific my father did for me, after debuting and living as a singer myself, I empathized with how difficult it must have been for him. I thought about how much effort he must have put in to climb to that position as a soloist at that time period.

Additionally, Belle showed her appreciation for her dad for raising a family while at the peak of his stardom. Having debuted in 1990, Shim Shin was at the height of his fame when he had Belle and her brother in 2004 and 1999, respectively.
And in the midst of his stardom, he had me and my brother. He got a family. And amidst that, he led the family well, so I’m thankful for that.

Park So Hyun emphasized that it must have been much more difficult for Shim Shin as a solo singer, and the members agreed that it was much more difficult to be solo than in a group.
She also mentioned that Shim Shin attended KISS OF LIFE’s showcase and showed his support for his daughter and KISS OF LIFE.
