Here’s what sexism looks like in Korean restaurants

The SBS cooking show, Baek Jong Won‘s Three Great Emperors, recently featured a tonkatsu restaurant where female diners received different sized portions to males.
For the same price, women would receive 1 fried pork cutlet, while the men would receive 2.
The show surprisingly labeled the difference as a “consideration” towards men’s appetite.
Another restaurant even had a sign posted saying that “men need to eat more”.
While in some schools, female students would receive smaller portions than the male students.
It’s a surprise to see gender discrimination dealing with such simple necessities like food.
