Where Is K-Pop’s First Openly Asexual Idol Now?

He’s been through many changes over the years.

K-Pop idols coming out as part of the LGBTQ+ community is rare, with a handful of artists like HOLLAND and former WA$$UP member Jiae proudly announcing their sexuality and revealing their romantic partner.

However, one idol broke the mold in 2017. During a live broadcast, Topp Dogg‘s Hansol announced that he was asexual. It’s been six years since then. And he’s been through many changes.

I’ve been thinking a lot. I’m asexual. Asexual. I don’t like anyone, anybody; I just like myself. I’ll probably never get married. I just like my friends and family.

That same year, Hansol legally changed his name to Kim Min Sung and became one of the eight members who left Topp Dogg. The group rebranded as XENO-T with the remaining five members. Even though his idol life ended, that wasn’t the end of the road for Kim Min Sung.

After going from Hansol to Kim Min Sung, he took on the stage name Navinci for his social media accounts and solo activities. He even changed his look by getting multiple tattoos on his neck, chest, and arms.

Using the name Navinci, Kim Min Sung hasn’t let his lead dancer skills go to waste. He does a few dance covers every now and then.

He even teaches choreography classes for the 1997 Dance Studio and films dance covers for the dance school playdance.

When he’s not dancing as Navinci, he also earns a living by working at a café.

The former idol even did some traveling with a recent trip to Japan. Kim Min Sung is living a much more relaxed life compared to his idol days.
