Which K-Pop Groups Do Netflix’s “Avatar” Live-Action Cast Listen To?
Netflix‘s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender was released on February 22, 2024, a day after the beloved original animated series celebrated its 19th anniversary.
Since the announcement of the live-action adaptation, fans of the series have closely followed its young rising stars.
Members of the main cast have been earning attention for their talent, charming personalities, the love they have for their characters, and their on-screen and off-screen chemistry.
In a recent interview with MTV, actors Dallas James Liu, Kiawentiio Tarbell, Gordon Cormier, Ian Ousley, and Elizabeth Yu, who portrayed characters Zuko, Katara, Aang, Sokka, and Azula, respectively, opened up about the music they like.
Dallas James Liu revealed that he had co-star Ian Ousley “watch so many K-Pop music videos, at like two in the morning on weekends.”
As for the K-Pop artists he introduced Ian Ousley to, who already knew of BTS, Dallas James Liu shared that they often listened to NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, BLACKPINK, and TWICE.
