Kwon Eunbi Feels Her Viral “Seoul WATERBOMB Festival 2023” Fancams Overshadowed One Detail Of Her Performance
Kwon Eunbi made her WATERBOMB Festival debut this year and stunned netizens with her performance and sexy AF outfits at the popular music festival.
The current soloist and former IZ*ONE leader performed at the WATERBOMB Festivals in Seoul, Korea, and Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan, going viral each time for her performance and style.
Kwon Eunbi recently made her anticipated comeback with “The Flash,” which was released on August 2.
To celebrate her comeback, the talented idol sat down with Weverse Magazine to chat about her recent activities, WATERBOMB Festival success, and her first single album, The Flash.
While discussing her performances at the WATERBOMB Festivals, the singer admitted she didn’t expect the positive reaction she received. She revealed she worked hard to put together a thoughtful performance that would be fit for the high-energy and fun festival.
She shared that after her performance and fancams began to go viral, her phone was blowing up with calls and messages, and her 2022 single “Underwater” climbed back up the charts.
I never expected to get such a great reaction. Everybody was calling and texting me, the views on my close-up fancams went way up and “Underwater” slowly started to climb the charts. I put a lot of thought into how I could communicate with the audience and get them more excited since it was a festival for the general public.

To fit the festival’s theme, Kwon Eunbi decided to “be bold” and wear swimwear. Her stunning visuals and hot attire immediately earned netizens’ attention and praise.
A lot of people also change out of their everyday clothes for WATERBOMB. I thought I should match that energy so I decided to be bold and put on my swimwear. (laughs)

While many admired her fancams, Kwon Eunbi noticed one detail from her performance that she felt was overlooked due to the popularity of the fancams.
While planning for her Seoul WATERBOMB Festival 2023 performance, Kwon Eunbi had thoughtfully prepared customized hand fans for festival attendees that had a photo on them from her “Glitch” promotions.
I wanted to make it extra memorable, so I had fans with a photo from the album on them made for the performance of “Underwater” and then we distributed them during another song—so that people can use them when it’s hot and think back to WATERBOMB.

Kwon Eunbi revealed that the thoughtful plan hilariously backfired after her viral fancams overshadowed the customized hand fans she brought.
She has hope that people will eventually notice the fans too.
But nobody talked about the fans, only the fancams. I hope people talk about the fans too. (laughs)
