LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin Has An Unexpected Reaction To One Of FEARNOTS’ “Stan Twitter” Memes
LE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin is a natural performer.
But despite her inherent charms and incredible skills, Yunjin has opened up about how she wasn’t always sure she should continue trying to debut as an idol.
After a long period of time as a trainee, doing her best to debut, even appearing on shows like Mnet‘s Produce 48, Yunjin almost gave up, wanting to go back to school in the U.S.
Fortunately, after getting accepted into a college, Yunjin picked up “the guitar that [she] used to play in high school.” Playing the familiar instrument reignited her passion for performing, and serendipitously she received the opportunity to debut as a part of LE SSERAFIM.
I felt that I had missed too many opportunities to debut, so I returned to the US. I was preparing for college in the States, for a major in…what do you call it? Business? I got into college but one day I found the guitar that I used to play in high school. When I picked it up and started playing, I felt very weird. It felt like I shouldn’t give up music. Even though I got into college, but I felt like I wanted to do music again, after starting it once more. And that was when a good opportunity came to me, and I ended up debuting with LE SSERAFIM.

Given how happy fans are that Yunjin stuck with her dream and ended up debuting as an idol, many have jokingly shared memes about not having “lost Yunjin to the American education system.”

In a recent fan call, Yunjin first clarified that it was business school specifically that fans might have lost her to.
Before admitting that she’s actually seen those memes.
Especially since her friends even send them to her, agreeing with fans that it would have been a loss if Yunjin had gone to college instead of becoming an idol.
Yunjin has even seen some memes where she’s “running from the college education.”
