As more details and allegations about Kim Soo Hyun’s involvement with Kim Sae Ron have been revealed, the situation has only gotten more complicated. In particular, Kim Soo Hyun‘s agency, GOLD MEDALIST, has taken steps to address each new allegation.
However, some of these statements have gone on to backtrack and changed, meaning they were initially untrue. Here are the instances this has happened so far, in netizens’ opinions.
1. The First Photo
In March 2024, Kim Sae Ron uploaded a photo of herself cheek-to-cheek with Kim Soo Hyun.
GOLD MEDALIST refuted any dating rumors between the two, adding that it was likely taken while both were under the company. The agency also said that it did not know why the image was uploaded in the first place.
Kim Sae Ron’s side revealed text messages that showed an alleged drafted response to GOLD MEDALIST’s statement. The response included her revealing the alleged dates of their relationship and implying the company was aware of the reason it was posted.
GOLD MEDALIST would later confirm that the two were dating when the photo was taken and seemed to acknowledged the photo with a change of attitude in the second certified letter Kim Sae Ron’s family later discussed.
2. Romantic Relationship
With the initial denial following the March 2024 image, it seems the agency denied all romantic connections between the actors. However, after the newly revealed images of the pair, the company admitted that the two dated, though it gave a different timeline offered by Kim Sae Ron’s family.
3. Money Pressure
GOLD MEDALIST claimed that in the two certified letters that were sent to Kim Sae Ron, there were no pressure made to pay money. However, the previously revealed letters both mentioned payments, though the second letter offered a very different tone.
4. Explicit Photo
Garo Sero Research Institute released an “explicit” photo of Kim Soo Hyun that was allegedly taken at Kim Sae Ron’s house, something eagle eye netizens provided proof of.
On March 20, the company then stated it would be taking legal action against Garo Sero and Kim Sae Ron’s family for the leak of the photo, after the company denied that he was the person in the “pants less” photo in a statement released on the 16th.
