LIGHTSUM’s Chowon, Sangah & Juhyeon Give Sneak Peek At Their Dance Skills Ahead Of Debut
Shortly before announcing the debut of its new girl group, LIGHTSUM, Cube Entertainment released three new dance practice videos featuring CUBE TREE trainees. Now, the company has revealed which members participated in the videos, giving a first glimpse at the group’s dance skills ahead of debut.
In LIGHTSUM’s eight-member lineup, 17-year-old Juhyeon is the group’s main dancer.
18-year-old Sangah, meanwhile, will be one of two lead dancers along with Nayoung.
Alongside 18-year-old Chowon—one of LIGHTSUM’s main vocalists and the most well-known member since her stint on Produce 48—Juhyeon and Sangah showed off their incredible skills in a new series of practice videos on YouTube.
The first video shows Juhyeon dancing alone to “Morning” by Teyana Taylor and Kehlani. Appearing on both The Unit and Dancing High when she was younger, Juhyeon has long been known for her dance skills, but her performance here shows she’s improved even further since then.
Next, Cube Entertainment uploaded a video of Chowon and Juhyeon dancing to “One Kiss” by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa together. Given that they’re two of Cube Entertainment’s longest-standing trainees, it’s no surprise that they’ve built up great performance chemistry together.
Last but not least, the final video features Sangah, Chowon, and Juhyeon dancing to Marian Hill’s “Thinking”. Alongside showing off incredible synchronization, the members proved they can dance with power and precision.
As of right now, Cube Entertainment is yet to reveal anything about LIGHTSUM’s overall concept or debut single. That said, it’s clear that their dance line could take on any genre and ace it.
