This Malaysian Singer’s K-Pop Covers Are Going Viral
With the Hallyu Wave revolutionizing the world, many celebrities from all over the world have been known to be fans of K-pop music, including popular Malaysian singer Shila Amzah.
Shila Amzah is an international artist, having had a huge surge in popularity after she joining China’s reality TV singing show Asian Wave. The show featured contestants from countries all around Asia and even features idols such as ZE:A, Cross Gene, and Whee. She was highly commended for her multilingual skills as she is well-versed in Malay, English, and Mandarin and has managed to win first place in the competition after performing 3 songs in 3 different languages.
Shila Amzah joined Asia’s competition I Am A Singer in 2014 and faced off against singers from all over Asia, eventually placing third in the finals. Throughout the competition, she has shown versatility in language, music, and style, skyrocketing her fame in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
