MAMAMOO’s Solar, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon & OH MY GIRL’s Mimi Wore The Same Dress But Served Completely Different Vibes
MAMAMOO‘s Solar, Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon, and OH MY GIRL‘s Mimi have such distinct styles, they even serve different vibes in the same outfits. Recently, all three stars wore the same dress, but each pulled it off in their own special way.
The piece in question was this unique Barocco printed dress from Versace. Worth $1,825 USD, the dress features bold, colorful prints styled in a ’60s shift silhouette.
MAMAMOO’s Solar was seen wearing the dress in a series of Instagram updates posted in January this year.
Solar was barefoot in the photo, accessorizing with a cute lilac handbag, a pearl necklace, and bold gold earrings. From the tassels on her bag to the pastel color scheme, Solar served a youthful, fairy-like vibe, almost evocative of a young girl dressing up in her parent’s fancy clothes.
Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon wore the dress in an Instagram post from March this year.
Hyoyeon went accessory-free, instead pairing the dress with a pair of vintage white go-go boots. Combined with the dress’s old-style shoulder pads, this gave her a retro vibe perfectly suited to a second-generation K-Pop star. Plus, the white accent added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the look.
Last but not least, OH MY GIRL’s Mimi was seen wearing the dress in teasers for “Dun Dun Dance” released in early May.
Mimi wore the dress with black Oxford shoes and ankle socks, along with some bright orange netting wrapped around her wrist. Overall, she served a mature yet edgy look, making the dress look like a more alternative fashion piece. Even her long, jet-black hair added to the offbeat image.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time these stars have worn matching looks. Both Hyoyeon and Solar wore the $695 USD “My Life is Crap” sheep sweater from the Magda Archer and Marc Jacobs collaboration. Solar was seen wearing the sweater in November 2020 on MAMAMOO’s official Twitter.
Hyoyeon, meanwhile, was seen wearing the sweater for SONE NOTE LIVE vol. 29 in December 2020.
