MAMAMOO‘s Solar can do it all. Seriously! She’s worked as a flight attendant and holds a wide variety of occupational certificates, and even got to live her dream of being a tour guide! Now, Solar can add fashion designer to her impressive resumé, as she designed a bag especially for fans in celebration of her birthday.
Because she has her Solarsido YouTube channel, she decided to share the process with her fans!
Using her favorite bag as the basis for her birthday bag, she began the process.
The meeting to create the bag happened one month before it’s actual release. (That turnaround time is pretty darn impressive!)
Solar was very passionate about the project and put a lot of work into planning and presenting it.
The second meeting was just a week later, in which she was presented with sketches and they were able to fine-tune details.
Solar was so passionate about the project, that she worked on it throughout her vacation!
After about a month of hard work and meticulous planning, she was finally able to see the bag in person.
The samples were incredible! Very stylish and well thought out.
Even the logo was designed by Solar!
She continued doing fine-tuning on the design, changing the handwritten logo to black.

Because she chose such a simple style for the bag, it can also be accessorized with pins for a bit more personalization. In this case, there are special Solar pins!
The bag even looks good on men!
