MAMAMOO’s Wheein Explains How The Fans Motivate Her As An Artist
MAMAMOO‘s Wheein recently released her first solo mini-album, Redd. In a recent video on the group’s YouTube channel, Wheein spoke about her new album, inspirations, and life in MAMAMOO.
Wheein explained that the title track “water color” is a fan song, adding that her love for the fans is huge!
My love for my fans? It’s very big!

Thinking about it, Wheein believes that the fans contribute to 98% of her motivation.
Rather than the typical ‘I can cheer up because of my fans,’ there are probably things fans want from me!
— Wheein
When I’m able to fulfill those things for them, and when I want to fulfill them, that’s when I feel motivated.
— Wheein
For both MAMAMOO as a group and Wheein as a soloist, the fans are more important than anything, not just because they give the group motivation to produce music.
