Man Draws Sketches For Korean Woman For Years Until She Marries Him
A man spent years drawing beautiful art for a Korean girl, all in an effort to have her fall in love with him.
Andrew Hou, a Canadian-born Chinese man, was never the best at expressing his feelings and love.
This was especially true when he first starting dating his now-wife, Kate.
It was made even harder as he spoke Chinese and she spoke Korean. So he began to draw little doodles for her to express his feelings.
He started drawing the story of their love in 2010 and hasn’t stopped drawing since.
His drawings were so adorable that Kate couldn’t help but fall deeper and deeper in love with him.
“Korean not being my native tongue didn’t help either… so making silly, sappy doodles was my workaround for the problem.”
– Andrew Hou
“[Kate] was busy with school and I was busy with work, so we didn’t have a lot of time to meet up or even talk on the phone. So during work, I’d pretend to be ‘working’ and create these tiny doodles and send it to her on her cellphone.”

So in love that when he finally asked her to marry him, she immediately said YES!
They were happily married on March 13, 2011.
He continued to make doodles for his wife, sharing memories all their best (and sometimes worst) moments.
“I often go back and read the early episodes myself as a constant reminder of the emotions and happy thoughts behind the drawings.”
