MONSTA X’s Minhyuk Refused To Be Paid For MCing CRAVITY’s Showcase, And Told No One Until Now
MONSTA X‘s Minhyuk is such a sweet senior to his junior group CRAVITY, and he revealed a secret that proves this even further!
Minhyuk was the MC for CRAVITY’s showcase earlier this month where the group promoted their first full-length album, The Awakening: Written in the Stars.
CRAVITY recently appeared on the show Back to the Idol, which is hosted by Minhyuk and Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk. The group was talking about how Minhyuk supported them as the MC when Serim mentioned that Minhyuk did the showcase for free!
Serim: Minhyuk sunbae-nim hosted our showcase for free.
Eunhyuk: Oh really?! Now was that voluntary or did the agency make you do it for free?
Minhyuk revealed that he actually turned down the money and that not a lot of people knew, including his agency!
Oh that, uhm…. I, uh- I actually turned down the money. […] Not a lot of people know about it… not even my agency. But yeah, let’s talk about something else though!

CRAVITY gave him a round of applause for his humble act, and Eunhyuk gave him a handshake, saying, “What a man.” Minhyuk appeared to be shy over the whole conversation, totally proving he’s the most humble and kind senior ever!
