A video of MONSTA X‘s Shownu has gone viral, but netizens question its authenticity.
Since the MONSTA X leader was discharged from mandatory military service, MONBEBEs (MONSTA X fans) have posted edits and fancams. The “official sound” used is Usher‘s “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home),” celebrating Shownu’s return.

Recently, a video went viral on TikTok of Shownu allegedly reacting to his fans’ videos. He appeared to be in a car, and upon MONBEBE’s recommendation, he looked up the videos and reacted to them as “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” could be heard on repeat as if he was scrolling.

Fans were excited to see Shownu had finally reacted to the “Daddy’s Home” fancams of him. His reaction amused netizens.
Yet, many were in disbelief. Netizens continually asked if it was real in the comment section, but no answers were found… until now.
The viral video is taken from Shownu’s live broadcast from last month and edited. So, his reaction is actually fake!
At the 3:40 mark in the video below, you can see Shownu was actually reading comments during his live broadcast. Rather than talking about the song he allegedly just listened to in the viral video, he told fans what time he had been going to bed lately.
So, in case you didn’t know already, you can’t believe everything you see on the internet…
